Understanding the process of talent development is one of the most important challenges in educational sciences in the present era. The theory of the “Differential Model of Genius and Talent” (DMGT) presented by François Gagnier, using a multidimensional view of the interaction between natural abilities, environmental factors, internal characteristics, learning opportunities and the role of chance, provides a comprehensive explanation of how potential talents are transformed into actual competencies. On the other hand, Islamic teachings, with their focus on divine nature, freedom, education and human responsibility, have fundamentally and comprehensively addressed the growth and development of human capabilities. The aim of this article is to adapt the main components of Gagnier’s model to the foundations of the Quran and Islamic traditions in order to derive a comprehensive and indigenous model for talent development within an Islamic framework. From the perspective of importance, this research is an attempt to link contemporary scientific findings with religious wisdom in order to design a comprehensive, efficient model that is appropriate to the Islamic-Iranian culture in the field of education. The results of this study show that there are significant overlaps and alignments between Gagne's theory and Islamic teachings, especially in the areas of the role of the environment, human will, the influence of internal factors, and education. The innovation of this article is in presenting a combined theoretical framework based on both sources that can be used as a native model and usable in designing talent training programs in Islamic environments.
