The family, as the primary context for development, plays a decisive role in human personality formation. However, finding an effective model that integrates religious authenticity with scientific findings presents a perennial challenge for parents. In response to this need, this study, employing a descriptive-analytical approach, analyzes the educational teachings of Imam Reza (a.s.) from authentic hadith sources, engaging them in a critical dialogue with foundational theories of developmental psychology (such as those of Bowlby, Piaget, Kohlberg, Bandura, and Vygotsky).
The analysis reveals the formulation of a multidimensional and coherent model founded on principles such as inherent dignity and the innate human disposition (fitra). This model encompasses several dimensions: emotional education, which emphasizes the establishment of secure attachment; cognitive-faith education, which concentrates on meaning-centered learning; moral education based on practical role-modeling; social education aimed at fostering responsibility; and a distinct focus on gender education centered on honoring differences.
The distinguishing feature of this model lies not only in its alignment with psychological principles but also in its intelligent synthesis of them with a spiritual teleology (purposefulness). This synthesis offers a comprehensive framework for holistic human development and can serve as a practical guide for parents and cultural policymakers.
