This study aims to analyze the diverse dimensions of female rationality and to elucidate its role and functions within the system of religious upbringing in the family from the perspective of the Qur’an. Employing qualitative thematic analysis and an inductive approach, the research extracted and categorized the components of female rationality from Qur’anic verses. The findings indicate that Qur’anic discourse on female rationality is not confined to cognitive ability; rather, it embodies a multidimensional relationship with spiritual, moral, emotional, biological, and exemplary domains. Within this framework, female rationality plays a vital role in guiding future generations, sustaining the psychological cohesion of the family, and transmitting religious values. Qur’anic narratives concerning figures such as Mary (peace be upon her), Asiya the wife of Pharaoh, the mother of Moses (peace be upon him), and the Queen of Sheba illustrate that female rationality represents an integration of faith, prudence, emotional regulation, and the capacity for educational role modeling. The primary contribution of this study lies in presenting a conceptual model of female rationality in the context of the religious family— a model that provides a basis for educational policymaking, curricular reform, and the re-evaluation of women’s position within the Islamic family system.
