The Holy Quran, as the divine word and the primary source of human guidance, plays a fundamental role in promoting mental health throughout different stages of life. Considering the remarkable influence of understanding the Quran on various dimensions of human development, this study aimed to develop, validate, and evaluate the effectiveness of an educational package based on Quran comprehension on the emotional intelligence components of first-grade elementary school female students. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test–post-test and a control group. The statistical population included all first-grade elementary school female students in Meybod city during the 1402–1403 academic year. A sample of 30 students was selected through convenience sampling and then assigned to experimental and control groups (15 students each) using a matching method based on demographic variables. The experimental group underwent ten training sessions using a researcher-developed educational package, whose content validity was confirmed with a Content Validity Index (CVI) of 0.995. Data were collected using the Children’s Trait Emotional Intelligence Scale (Mavroli et al., 2008), which demonstrated acceptable reliability with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.79. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and analysis of covariance in SPSS software. The results indicated that the educational package had a significant effect on improving the emotional intelligence of the experimental group, with an effectiveness rate of 84.6%. These findings suggest that the developed package is of desirable quality and can be used as an effective tool for enhancing emotional intelligence through Quran-based instruction among elementary students.
