Habits are behaviors and processes that are unconsciously used to do things and are the result of human repetition and deep learning. Although most of the habit is introduced as a negative phenomenon in life, but by meditating on its nature and effects, it can be said that habit is not only a weakness but can act as a powerful educational method. Habits can be destructive only if they get out of the control of the will and enslave people. Types of habit change are classified from bad habit to good habit, from good habit to another good habit or creating new habits. Following the verses and narrations related to the subject of habit, it can be said that leaving the previous habits and creating new habits has a systematic method and comprehensive solutions that must be followed in order to benefit from the power of habit. The basis of this system is the repetition and continuation of the behavior in a gradual manner in a period of time that is appropriate to it and being in a suitable environment along with the imposition of rewards and punishments. By accepting habit as a learning method, Guthrie, a behaviorist theorist, proposes a triple structure for changing habits. Although his method of threshold and counter conditioning is confirmed by Quranic and narrative sources, but the exhaustion method is contradicted based on Quranic and narrative documents, especially the rule of "harmless".
