the purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of teaching general courses on the theoretical foundations of Islam on spiritual intelligence and exam anxiety. The current research method is a semi-experimental type of pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of the research is all undergraduate students in the field of physical education and sports sciences of Ilam University, numbering 96 people, of which 30 people were selected as a sample using available and voluntary sampling in two experimental (15 people) and control (15 people) groups. In order to collect data, two methods of documentary and field study were used; In this way, in order to collect the background and theoretical foundations of the research, the document study method was used and to collect data from two standard questionnaires of King's Spiritual Intelligence (2008) and Spielberger's Test Anxiety Questionnaire (1980), whose validity and reliability were also confirmed. In order to analyze the data, Univariate covariance and Multivariate covariance statistical tests were used with the help of SPSS version 24 software. The results of the research showed that there is a significant difference between the two experimental and control groups (at a 95% confidence level) after teaching general courses on the theoretical foundations of Islam in the variable of spiritual intelligence, but there was no significant difference in the variable of test anxiety.
