In the modern world, which grapples with metaphysical challenges such as nihilism, a critical question arises: Can <em>ḥayāʾ</em>, as a cognitive-educational mechanism, assist contemporary humanity in overcoming the crisis of spirituality? This study, employing a descriptive-analytical method based on library research, investigates the role of <em>ḥayāʾ</em> (rooted in Islamic teachings) in confronting nihilism. The findings indicate that <em>ḥayāʾ</em>, as an educational mechanism, first stabilizes the religious worldview by reinforcing epistemological foundations—namely, the knowledge of God (<em>maʿrifatullāh</em>) and self-knowledge (<em>maʿrifat al-nafs</em>)—and subsequently regulates the realm of imagination and desires. In doing so, it effectively counteracts the fragmentation caused by nihilism. The research demonstrates that <em>Tawḥīd</em>-based modesty is not merely a passive individual virtue, but rather an active and socially transformative educational mechanism. By connecting the human being to transcendent truth, it enables the navigation of the spiritual crises of the present age.</span> <span style="font-size: 14.0pt;"> </span> <span lang="FA" style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'B Lotus'; mso-bidi-language: FA;">در اندیشه اسلامی‌</span><span dir="LTR" lang="FA" style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: 'B Lotus'; mso-bidi-language: FA;"> </span><span lang="FA" style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'B Lotus'; mso-bidi-language: FA;">حیا به عنوان یک فضیلت اخلاقی نقش تعیین‌کننده‌ای در تنظیم رفتارهای فردی و اجتماعی ایفا می‌‌کند. در جهان مدرن که با چالش‌های متافیزیکی همچون نهیلیسم مواجه است این پرسش مطرح می‌شود که آیا حیا می‌تواند به عنوان یک سازوکار معرفتی _ تربیتی انسان معاصر را در عبور از بحران معنویت یاری رساند؟ پژوهش حاضر با روش توصیفی_ تحلیلی و با استناد به منابع کتابخانه‌ای به بررسی نقش حیای مبتنی بر آموزه‌های اسلامی ‌در مقابله با پوچ‌گرایی در دنیای معاصر می‌پردازد. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد حیا به عنوان یک مکانیسم تربیتی، نخست با تثبیت عالم دینی از طریق تقویت مبانی معرفتی (معرفت الله و معرفت النفس) و سپس با تنظیم ساحت خیال و تمایلات، می‌تواند در برابر گسیختگی ناشی از نهیلیسم عمل کند. این پژوهش نشان می‌دهد که حیای توحیدی نه یک فضیلت فردی و انفعالی، بلکه یک سازوکار تربیتی اجتماعی و فعال است که با پیوند زدن انسان به حقیقت متعالی امکان گذار از بحران‌های معنوی عصر حاضر را فراهم می‌کند.</span> <span lang="FA" style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'B Lotus'; mso-bidi-language: FA;">کلمات کلیدی: نقش تربیتی حیا، انسان معاصر، فرهنگ غرب، پوچ‌گرایی، کنترل خیال.</span> https://iued.ilam.ac.ir/article_732911_afccde2a85978929f26610e95b27d5dc.pdf
